Welcome to Nyssa's charcoal picture of Nyssa and Amy's web site!

Here you will meet my friend Nyssa, her daughter Amy, her siblings, and other Shilohs. They are  wonderful representatives of a unique rare breed - the Shiloh Shepherd.

Shiloh Shepherds are known for their great temperaments, excellent health,  size and looks, loyalty, trainability, lack of hip dysplasia, and overall soundness of body and mind.

Nyssa is very versatile and talented girl. We are currently working in obedience, agility, and tracking  as well as canine search and rescue. We have recently earned Companion Dog title and becameoperational canine search and rescue team and already responded to several search callouts. In addition, Nyssa earned her first leg toward USDAA agility title. She is also Shiloh Shepherd breed club champion and IABCA national champion. Since she has such an important bloodlines and superb temperament and working abilities needed in our breed, we have decided to breed Nyssa to enrich the Shiloh Shepherd genepool. Her mate was carefully chosen to complement and enhance her strengths and to minimize weaknesses as well as to produce a litter with low inbreeding coefficient. Phantom was picked as the most compatible stud and Havoc for the second litter.

Nyssa's first litter was born on August 9th, 2000. She had 4 boys and 4 girls, 4 sables and 4 duals. Pups are doing incredibly well. They are all we hoped them to be and far beyond that in health, temperament, looks, size, and personalities. Seven pups were placed in superb homes and one stayed with us. My show pick girl's call name is Amy. She is registered as Amphissa Maxima. Amphissa is Greek for "Double Strength"since she tested so well in conformation and temperament on her litter evaluation. Our future plans include conformation, search and rescue, obedience, tracking, and agility.  She has already won Best in Show Jr. Puppy at Rarities rare breed dog show at the age of 8 months and passed her Canine Good Citizen test with flying colors less than a month later.

Nyssa's second litter was born on christmas day. We have 7 pups this time. There are four boys and three girls, four sables and three duals. All the pups are doing very well and gaining weight in an astonishing rate. Nyssa is being a wonderful mom again and Amy is a very curious and gentle auntie.

For detailed progress of our first litter of pups, please check the Puppies page. The second litter has their own page. I will provide updates as often as time permits. I have also created an online yahoogroup for all the puppy owners and prospective buyers. Please join us and read all the stories and latest news straight from the owners. I will been adding additional information on nutrition, vaccines, health, genetics, etc. as well. And lastly, there are pictures! See the links below.

So, please have fun and come back frequently to check for the updates.

Sincerely,

Michelle, Nyssa, and Amy
