The puppies have arrived on Christmas eve and Christmas day!
We have 4 boys and
3 girls, 4 sables and 3 duals. Two boys are duals, two are sables, one girl is
dual and the other three girls are sable.
They are between 1 and 1.25 lbs. I expected them to be bigger but they were
born right at 58 days so this size is very nice. All of the pups are lively,
eating very well and gaining weight.
Mom Nyssa is doing well. She is an excellent mother and takes wonderful care of
her babies.
Everyone got a check up on Thursday, 2 days after the blessed event. All puppies
were free of heart murmurs and very healthy. Nyssa is having a slight infection
so she is being treated for that. Otherwise she is doing well.
Here are some pictures of the new family. The first one shows Nyssa's daughter
from her first litter peeking at the puppies. She has not interacted with them
yet but Amy is very curious and should be a great auntie when the pups are a
little older. Coincidentally, the dad of this litter - Havoc is Amy's half
brother. They share the same father Phantom since I love his progeny so much. As
you can tell from some of the pictures, the whelping box is in my living room,
right next to my bed. As the puppies will get stronger and more vocal, I will be
weakening and loosing sleep rapidly. LOL But this will be extremely well
socialized and adjusted litter.
